LinkedIn have updated their API:s, and will no longer provide current employer

LinkedIn has updated their API:s and no longer support getting the current employer when registering with LinkedIn, or support updating. From now on, they will support single sign in, but will only provide email address, name and profile picture. This affect our integration and we will take the following steps:

  • We will need to update how we access LinkedIn, and have for the time being removed the option to sign in with LinkedIn.
  • We will update the My Alumni Page landing page to provide multiple options for sign in. 
  • We will also look over the user experience for the alumni during the first time registration. 

We are sorry about this change, but we have no means of influencing the decisions of LinkedIn.
