As you might have seen in our “Event calendar” Karolinska Institutet arranged an alumni reunion in the beginning of May. They had three alumni speakers who shared their experiences from the collaboration program with Makerere University. The reception was held on campus of the College of Health Sciences and thanks to the weather it took place outdoors on their beautiful lawn.
Undergraduate students were also invited. Professor Stefan Peterson presented important research for the students and participants from KI Alumni. It mainly focused on acute febrile illness and the research was one part of the result out of the collaboration with the college.
KI Alumni wants to develop internationally and, as a part of that strategy, KI Alumni joined the KI delegation to Makerere University in Kampala. The afternoon and evening was appreciated and encouraged new meetings and exchange of experiences among the participants. KI Alumni were pleased that such a great number of alumnus chose to join the event and share their experiences from the life after school. Source
