Stockholm School of Economics receives large donation
Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) has received a large donation of 180 million SEK from Knut och Alice Wallenbergs Stiftelse, according to Svenska Dagbladet. The donation is a part of their ongoing fundraising campaign where they hope to raise 800 million SEK until 2009.
Karolinska Institutet Fundraising Campaign launched
Karolinska Institutet published a press release yesterday announcing that they have raised 580 million SEK (about 62 million EUR) in its fundraising campaign “Breakthroughs for life”. The largest single donation – 350 million SEK comes from the Erling-Persson Family Foundation. Just before Christmas, the owner of Balticgruppen (The Baltic Group), a real estate company based in Umeå, donated 100 million Swedish crowns (approx. € 10.5 million) to Umeå University. Read about the donation here
