University of Vaasa has been working with Mira Network for five years. The collaboration has grown gradually and now involves many of the university’s services. In October 2025, Executive Education was introduced into Mira CRM through the Contract Education feature.

After operating as an external company for four years, the Executive Education recently returned to the university. The first phase of the re-entry has mainly focused on ensuring that all the imported data is transferred safely into Mira CRM.

Julio Serrano has been involved in the project from the beginning. He is a marketing specialist, working in the team that manages the university’s Executive Education.

– We used Mira CRM before and while operating externally we worked with another CRM-system. When we returned, we started preparing to export our company platform into Mira CRM, he says.

Intense and short process
This process has been intense and short, with the goal of having Executive Education up and running in Mira CRM by January 2026. Julio has been working closely with his colleague Riikka Kalmi, a science communication specialist at the university’s Stakeholder Relations and Impact team.

Among other responsibilities, Riikka has the overall ownership of Mira CRM, ensuring that it meets the university’s needs.

– It has been a smooth and swift process letting the Executive Education back into the system. One of the benefits of having several departments working in Mira CRM is that many of us have the same target groups, Riikka says adding:

– The people at Mira Network are pleasant and easy to work with. I haven’t heard any complaints about our interactions with them. I find them agile, responsive and service-minded.

Heard our needs
Julio agrees and gives his perspective of the collaboration:

– What has surprised me most is how easy it has been to work with Mira Network. They have listened to our needs and managed everything smoothly. Magnus Bratt and the development team have been highly professional, which has given me a great deal of confidence. They handled everything correctly and kept all their promises.

By adding the Executive Education to Mira CRM, the university database grew by 50 percent. At the same time, the system now contains several duplicate entries, which will take a while to review.

Unlock new possibilities
– I see the duplicates as a positive problem. By adding a large number of contacts to the university’s database we unlock new possibilities that I hope colleagues working, for example, in fundraising and research can benefit from. The university has effectively boosted sales capabilities overnight, Julio says.

In addition to supporting the data import into Mira CRM, Mira Network has also arranged several workshops together with the Executive Education team. Further workshops are planned for January 2026.

– The workshops have been useful, especially for colleagues that have not been as closely involved in the process as I have, Julio says.
