A common requirement in fundraising is to report gifts and gift opportunities by type of donor, e.g. from individuals, from foundations, from private companies and from the public sector.
In Mira each gift can be connected to one or more individuals and one or more organizations. Organizations can be classified by Organization sector.
Reports of gifts include a column for Donor type, that can be any of the following:
- Individual(s) The gift is connected to one or more individuals
- {Organization sector} The gift is connected to an organization with organizational sector
- Both organizations and individual(s)
- Multiple organizations
- n/a The gift is not connected to a donor.
The campaign progress report shows a pie chart of how the gift amount is distributed by type of donor.
In Mira, a Major Gift Opportunity can be connected to either a person or an organization. Reports of Major Gift Opportunities also include a column for Donor type, that can be any of the following:
- Individual The gift is connected to one or more individuals
- {Organization sector} The gift is connected to an organization with organizational sector
